Community Paediatrician
Community paediatricians are specialised children’s doctors who provide high quality specialist care in the assessment of range of developmental conditions and neurodevelopmental difficulties, such as Delayed Development, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Dyspraxia, Down and various other syndromes and other conditions.
The community paediatrics service also provides statutory health assessments of looked after children and input for children with complex health care needs, and take leadership responsibility for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Safeguarding and Looked After Children.
They accept CYP between 0 - 16 years (0 - 18 for CYP with a severe learning disability who are at special school), who are registered with a Hertfordshire GP. Referrals must come from an NHS professional, with informed parental consent.
