CYP Mental Health Services (CYPMHS formerly CAMHS)

Specialist Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Services are delivered across the whole of Hertfordshire.
The service provides interventions for moderate/severe emotional and behavioural difficulties in CYP. Teams also offer specialist interventions for other mental health difficulties, including anorexia and schizophrenia.
Services include:
- Four multi-disciplinary community clinic teams offering a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Children Looked After Team
- Eating Disorders Team
- Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team
- DBT team
- Forensic Adolescent Practitioner service
- Adolescent inpatient unit (Forest House)
- Home Treatment Team (HTT)
- Mental Health Support Teams (MHST)
Teams have strong links with Children's Social Care in Hertfordshire, Education services in Hertfordshire and other Herts children's health services. Teams are made up of professionals including child psychiatrists, clinical and counselling psychologists, specialised social workers, child and adolescent psychotherapists, systemic family therapists and specialist nurses.
A new website for Hertfordshire's Children and Young People's Mental Health Services (CYPMHS) system is currently being developed.
