DSPL7 Provision Mapping Booklets

These provision map booklets aim to provide information on all support available for both parents of and professionals working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Barriers to and Solutions for Engagement in Learning

This guidance for Primary classteachers and subject leaders was created by DSPL7 SENCos in a collaborative workshop.  This is an ongoing project - this first version provides overviews for core subjects and PE.  Additional subjects will follow as they are completed.  Secondary SENCos are currently adapting the document for use in KS3 and KS4.

SEND Register Guidance

Following a collaborative workshop, Primary and Secondary SENCos in DSPL7 agreed a list of criteria for pupils who should be included on the SEND Register at SEN Support (K).  This was to develop consistency across schools in the area.

Sensory Resources Library

DSPL7 has a number of resources suitable for pupils with Autism, ADHD and sensory needs which can be borrowed by schools for up to half a term (6-weeks). This allows schools to trial these larger, more expensive items to see if they have a positive impact on pupils.  To request items, email admin@dspl7.org.uk
